Free classified ads are a great way to generate income be it from your own business or if you are just looking to sell some odds and ends from around the house. The popularity of the internet actually gives a purpose back to classified ads. In the old days, you would spend a small fortune and have a one day ad in the local paper, not any more. Now you can put a free ad up on the net to a much wider audience that will stay there for weeks, month and possibly forever.
I am sure there are many doubters out there as normally you would never believe when someone wants you to believe that you are going to get something for nothing, but in this case, it is actually true. All you have to do is a Google search and you will find that there are more than 10,000,000 sites out there that would just love to put your information out on the web for free.
The best part about this whole process is that you don’t even actually have to be selling a product to make this work for you. Now I know I have your curiosity up there so let me go a little further into detail so you can make some sense of all of this.
Like you, everybody in the world likes to make money. When you are looking to make money online what do you do? You type in ‘how to make money online’ into a search engine and you get about a bazillion hits. Look at how many of those hits are on free classified ads, pretty impressive stuff isn’t it. Now you are going to create a social page or blog talking about this thing or the next. These are called niche blogs and once you have one, you actually have a business going.
Here is the beauty of the whole operation. Now you have done all of this for free. There are plenty of blogging sites out there that you can use free of charge and you are driving people to your site for free. Now with the increased traffic that you have created with these ads, you are getting people to open up accounts or buy things, all of which you get a cut of because you are an affiliate. And you are also getting money from the advertisers that are on your blog. The more hits you get on your site, they more they will pay. You haven’t sold a thing and yet you are making cash!
If you actually have a business it is even better. Not only are you going to be selling your product but you are going to have all of this other stuff going on as well. This will actually enable you to absolutely saturate the market with free ads as you can list what you are selling and also whatever each advertisement on your site is for. The object is to drive as many people as possible to your site so that you either sell your stuff or they click on one of the links and buy something off of one of the sites that you are affiliated with. Regardless, it is a win/win situation.
No matter what you are trying to sell though, make sure you use the right keywords. Both the major and internal search engines on any site will not work to your advantage if you are not using the right titles and keywords for your service or item. Check other sites and look to see what the most popular ones are using and make them work for you.
We have just touched the surface here but as you can see, free classified ads present an opportunity to make money in various ways. With one internet ad, you can literally reach hundreds of millions of people. A classified ad had come along way from being a 3 line write up in your local daily paper.
