5 Big Reasons People Stay Home To Work

by Bob Matthews

Do you want to know why 30,000-40,000 new people flock online each month to find work-from-home opportunities? If you’re like most of them, you probably have this in common: Ever since you attended grade school, you preferred spending a day at home to a day at school. Hello? Spring break, anyone? Or maybe you were a sick day celebrator who enjoyed the privileges of Mom’s care and all-day TV-viewing pass. Whatever the reason–you thought you were really getting away with it.

Now your adult fantasy is to return in some ways to carefree yet secure home days as when you were young. Here are my five reasons to work from home–see with how many you agree.

* You call the shots! You can party, vacation or work unbelievably hard whenever you choose. Just think: weekdays, sick days, vacation days, rainy days, and any-other-day-you-can-come-up-with off. But you can also work very diligently–just be sure not to overdo it. (Note: you’ve overdone it when your family calls the authorities to find you.)

* Spend more time with those you love. Are you a pet lover? Perhaps you have a passion for dogs and exercise, and the perfect one-hour lunch to you (and your best friends) is a long walk through the park. Or maybe you’re a mom who wants to spend more time with her children. These are all great things, but unfortunately time is a fixed quantity, so you can’t increase or diminish it. But you can spend less time on the things you least like and more time on the things you do like.

* More money. Do you remember that look your girlfriend gave you when you purchased that $500 Dolce & Gabbana handbag on a whim? If looks could kill, you’d be seven feet under now. But really–that was part of the fun, wasn’t it?

* More freedom to do what you want. When’s the last time you took a two-week dream vacation? Okay, when’s the last time you took a day trip to the beach? With a home business, yes, yes, you can. Traipsing through the Amazon Rainforest not your thing? Perhaps you would choose to paint figurines or become the state quilting queen. Or you might even choose to devote your time to charities.

* Enjoy a fulfilling career. When you ardently pursue what you think is a worthy goal, you have vitality and determination. You exude an infectious invincibility that is fundamental to home business success where you don’t have a superior demanding that you complete all your work for the day. You have to be your own boss, employee, and motivator all in one. Ninety percent of this occurs in your mind. And as you grow mentally and spiritually, your bank account will rise in proportion.
